Roskilde 2011
HOW TO DRESS WELL (US) is the name of a music project by philosophy scholar Tom Krell. With his reverb-drenched falsetto voice as the primary instrument, he dissolves the R&B genre and creates a personal universe filled with childhood memories, beauty and mystery. It is like a meeting between Bon Iver and Justin Timberlake in a David Lynch film.
How To Dress Well's debut album Love Remains is a hit on numerous blogs and in underground music zines on the strength of its abstract and heartrending sounds.
The Tallest Man On Earth to Roskilde Festival

It is almost Christmas, and again this year Roskilde Festival has been in the mood for giving gifts. We have announced stadium act Kings of Leon, death metal legends Autopsy, African-Cuban premier league players Afrocubism and diamonds-in-the-rough How To Dress Well and Weekend.
The final act before the Christmas holidays is an old-school songwriting talent with terrific songs in the guitar case. With a simple starting point and an unpolished voice, the young troubadour has won over many dedicated fans in both the US and Europe.
THE TALLEST MAN ON EARTH (S) sounds like a protest singer who could have jammed with Bob Dylan and Joan Baez in the early 60s. The international press agrees regarding the album The Wild Hunt: you do not have to stand on tiptoe to see the Swede's musical references. His talent is nonetheless staggering. The Tallest Man On Earth gets his acoustic guitar to glow and the old days to seem new again.
More music in January
Roskilde Festival puts down the gift bag for now. We return in 2011 with many more additions to an already exciting and varied music programme.
